Lead Maintenance Technician Residence Inn by Marriott Macon, GA Job Details Full-time From $21 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Carpentry Contractor management Supervising experience Leadership Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Job Overview Lead Maintenance Technician responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of hotel facilities and equipment. Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building systems while ensuring compliance with safety regulations and property standards. Supervises maintenance staff, coordinates vendors and contractors, manages work orders and inventory, conducts facility inspections, and responds to emergency maintenance issues. Collaborates with hotel departments to maintain a safe, efficient, and guest-focused environment. Duties Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities, guest rooms, and building systems. Troubleshoot and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment. Respond promptly to guest service requests and maintenance work orders. Conduct routine inspections to ensure safety, functionality, and property standards. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services. Maintain maintenance records, inventory, and compliance with safety regulations. Support emergency repairs and ensure uninterrupted hotel operations.
Experience Needed/Preferred:
Previous hotel, hospitality, commercial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Hands-on experience with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs. Experience performing preventive maintenance and troubleshooting building systems. Knowledge of work order systems and maintenance scheduling. Experience coordinating with vendors and contractors for repairs and projects. Familiarity with life-safety systems, OSHA standards, and regulatory compliance. Experience leading or supervising maintenance staff preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to respond to guest and operational needs. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and respond effectively to maintenance emergencies.
