Job Description
The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor will oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery and mechanical equipment in the facility. This role includes managing a team of Industrial Maintenance Technicians, ensuring the implementation of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair procedures. The Supervisor will also be responsible for inventory control, documentation accuracy, and compliance with safety protocols.
Responsibilities:
Supervision and Leadership :
Lead, mentor, and manage a team of Industrial Maintenance Technicians. Provide work instructions, monitor progress, and perform analysis to ensure efficient maintenance operations. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.Maintenance and Operations :
Oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical power transmission equipment including gearboxes, drives, transmissions, conveyors, and rollers. Ensure routine maintenance on machinery, including inspection, cleaning, lubrication, and adjustment of components to ensure optimal performance. Manage the execution of preventive maintenance plans to uphold machinery reliability and longevity.Technical Support and Collaboration :
Collaborate with production operators to identify equipment issues and provide technical assistance as needed. Utilize hand and power tools, as well as precision measuring and testing instruments, to maintain and repair machinery. Ensure accurate reading and interpretation of technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.Inventory and Documentation :
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment logs, and inventory of spare parts using a computerized maintenance system. Manage spare parts and materials to effectively control the maintenance budget. Handle various document work, external affairs, and audit-related tasks as required.Safety and Compliance :
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, creating a safe working environment for all employees. Conduct monthly inspections and tests on safety systems. Safely operate power industrial equipment such as heavy equipment and aerial lifts.Facility Management :
Standardize work processes and oversee facility maintenance. Analyze and manage the consumption of utility energy such as electricity, gas, and water. Oversee all aspects of paint shop facilities including painting equipment, paint delivery systems, electrical and utility infrastructure, RTOs, conveyors, various exhaust systems, bake ovens, CWS, and lighting.Problem-Solving and Improvement :
Analyze the causes of equipment maintenance and downtime and implement effective countermeasures. Identify and reduce defects in facility components through analysis and strategic improvements. Manage preventive, predictive, regular, and post-preservation maintenance standards and performance of production equipment.Record-Keeping and Analysis :
Oversee the management of equipment inspection logs on a daily, monthly, and annual basis, and analyze major failure causes. Keep records of failures by specific facility equipment, such as injection molding machines, robots, coolers, and conveyors, and conduct repair history analysis.Asset Management :
Manage procedures and assets related to equipment purchase, improvement, disposal, and sale. Plan and establish standards for restarting production operations after shutdowns and manage corresponding countermeasures. Conduct hydraulic oil quality analysis and ensure proper oil quality and viscosity management for different facility equipment.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred. At least 5 years of experience in maintenance management, with a strong background in manufacturing or automotive parts production. Strong leadership and team management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Problem-solving skills to analyze complex technical issues. Knowledge of safety regulations and a commitment to creating a safe working environment. Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Benefits:
