Duties Help As an Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor, WS-8801-14 , you will: Plan the overall allocion of personnel, funding and equipment resources to the organizional segments supervised to accomplish work operions which, because of their scope, volume, complexity, operional tempo, and total force integrion must be planned on an annual or longer basis. Recommend promotion or reassignment of subordine supervisors and reviews personnel actions prepared by them. Make formal appraisal of supervisors' work performance and reviews employee appraisals submitted by them. Determine long range and supervisory training needs for all levels of subordines developing resource options, justificions and methods to accomplish training. Implement safety regulory requirements. Ensure th subordines wear approprie safety equipment and follow pertinent safety precautions. Perform other duties as assigned. Candide must have 36 months specialized experience which demonstres the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which demonstres the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communice knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situions. PHYSICAL EFFORT
: Work involves climbing, stooping, standing, bending, stretching and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions. Requires modere to strenuous physical exertion. Lifts equipment and components weighing from 20 to 50 pounds, and may be required to lift items weighing up to 100pounds with assistance from other workers or merials handling equipment. : Works inside and outside, in inclement weher, on icy, wet and slippery ramps, aircraft surfaces and work stands and in temperure extremes. Subject to the dangers from exposure to toxic fumes, high pressure air and fluids, fast actuing metal aircraft surfaces (landing gears, speed brakes, missile doors and flaps), engine noise, he blast, intake suction, roting propellers, explosive munitions, electrical voltage, cartridge actuing devices, liquid oxygen/nitrogen, fire or explosion of aircraft fuels, lubricants, paints and solvents.
