Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Service Technician to support daily maintenance operations at a multifamily community in Stone Mountain, GA. This role acts as the second-in-command to the Maintenance Supervisor, leading by example in completing work orders, unit turns, and preventative maintenance while helping guide and support the maintenance team. The ideal candidate is hands-on, dependable, and capable of handling a high volume of service requests with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Assist the Maintenance Supervisor in overseeing daily maintenance operations and team workflow Lead by example in completing work orders, service requests, and repairs in a timely and professional manner Perform maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, appliances, and HVAC systems Support and help coordinate make-ready (unit turn) process to ensure units are ready for occupancy on schedule Troubleshoot and diagnose maintenance issues efficiently and accurately Help train and mentor maintenance technicians; provide guidance on best practices and quality standards Ensure all work orders are properly documented and completed in the system Conduct routine inspections of property, units, and common areas to identify maintenance needs Assist with preventative maintenance programs to reduce long-term repair costs Respond to maintenance emergencies and participate in the on-call rotation Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory in an organized and functional condition Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and management regarding maintenance updates and concerns Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company policies Requirements Minimum 2+ years of maintenance experience in multifamily or related field Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and basic
HVAC EPA
certification Required Proven ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to take direction while also stepping into a leadership/support role when needed Good communication and customer service skills Experience with work order systems and maintenance tracking software Must be available for on-call rotation and emergency maintenance Ability to lift, push, and pull as required for maintenance duties Proficient in using hand and power tools Knowledge of fair housing guidelines Benefits Medical Dental Vision Life Insurance Short/Long Term Disability 401K Paid Time Off Holidays If you are ready for a company to invest in you, please apply today.
