Job Overview We are seeking a proactive and skilled Part Time Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our facilities through hands-on maintenance, repairs, and preventative care. Your expertise will help maintain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for all residents, staff, and visitors. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on building systems, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical equipment. Troubleshoot and repair issues using schematics, electrical experience, mechanical knowledge, and tools such as ohmmeters. Conduct residential painting and minor carpentry tasks to maintain property aesthetics. Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automated systems when necessary. Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks. Assist with welding projects and other specialized repairs to ensure safety and compliance standards are met. Supervise or assist with facilities maintenance projects while ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards. Provide excellent customer service by addressing residents' maintenance requests promptly and professionally. Support manufacturing or other operational activities as needed within the facility environment. Lead or collaborate with team members on maintenance tasks, demonstrating leadership skills in a supervisory capacity when required. Qualifications Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related fields such as manufacturing or residential properties. Strong electrical experience with the ability to read schematics and operate testing tools like ohmmeters. Mechanical knowledge including plumbing, HVAC systems, welding, and general repairs. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and CMMS software is highly desirable. Ability to interpret technical schematics and mechanical drawings accurately. Excellent communication skills in English to effectively coordinate with team members and residents. Supervising or leadership experience is a plus; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Basic knowledge of residential painting techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
