Location East Georgia Campus - Swainsboro, GA Department Information Facilities Services - Administration Job Summary Provide leadership and operational oversight for Facilities Operations serving a 300,000-square-foot instructional site of Georgia Southern University. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable campus facilities through effective planning, fiscal oversight, and customer-focused service delivery. The position oversees day-to-day maintenance operations including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Grounds, and custodial services to support the operational needs of the campus community. Through collaborative leadership and hands-on management, the role ensures facilities are well maintained and campus operations run effectively in support of institutional goals. Responsibilities Oversee daily facilities operations and maintenance activities for a 300,000-square-foot instructional site, including Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Structural, Grounds, and Custodial Services Establish and implement departmental goals, priorities, policies, procedures, and operational improvements to support efficient service delivery Assist in developing and managing departmental budgets while monitoring expenditures and resource allocation Coordinate renovation, repair, and minor construction projects in collaboration with Facilities Planning, Design & Construction staff Supervise, train, and evaluate departmental staff while promoting professional development, workplace safety, and compliance with University policies and regulations Serve as a liaison with campus departments, contractors, vendors, and external partners regarding facilities operations and maintenance needs Support campus leadership in identifying facility maintenance priorities, capital improvement needs, emergency response efforts, and operational initiatives in support of institutional goals Required Qualifications Educational Requirements Bachelor's Degree Five (5) or more years of related work experience Required Experience Higher education experience Proven supervisory experience Proposed Salary $68,692 This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
