Job Description

Job Summary:
The Foundry Maintenance Manager is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of all foundry equipment, facilities, and utility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This role leads the maintenance team, manages preventive and predictive maintenance programs, and drives continuous improvement in equipment uptime and asset performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and manage all maintenance activities for mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems in the foundry. Lead and supervise maintenance personnel, including technicians, electricians, and contractors. Develop and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life. Troubleshoot and resolve equipment failures quickly to support production continuity. Maintain spare parts inventory and ensure critical spares are available. Collaborate with production, engineering, and safety teams to support operational and capital improvement projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, and company safety standards. Maintain accurate maintenance records using CMMS (e.g., SAP, Maximo, MP2). Analyze equipment failure trends and implement root cause corrective actions. Manage maintenance budgets, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures. Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and installations. Support reliability engineering initiatives and equipment upgrades.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering; or equivalent experience. 5-8+ years of maintenance leadership experience in a foundry, steel mill, or heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Strong technical knowledge of foundry equipment, including furnaces, conveyors, dust collection systems, hydraulic presses, and core/mold machines. Experience with CMMS systems and preventive maintenance programs. Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-temperature environment. Strong understanding of safety regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and hazard recognition.
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional). Experience with Lean, TPM, or Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with PLCs, SCADA systems, and industrial automation.
Pay:
$100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
