Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and reliability of electrical systems at our clients Generation and Water facilities. This role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations while leading a team of electricians and supporting continuous improvement and safety initiatives. Key Responsibilities Oversee electrical maintenance of all systems at Generation and Water facilities Plan, schedule, and assign work in coordination with Planning & Scheduling to ensure timely and safe completion of projects Coordinate manpower needs to balance emergency, scheduled, and backlog work Ensure proper materials, tools, and documentation are available for all tasks Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition Submit and update bills of materials, parts lists, and preventive maintenance schedules in the maintenance system Assist with scheduling routine and corrective maintenance and electrical projects Identify and recommend equipment replacements and assist in planning upgrades Supervisory Responsibilities Lead, supervise, and support a team of electricians Review and approve time tickets Participate in hiring, evaluations, promotions, and disciplinary actions Train employees on company policies and procedures Provide technical guidance, prioritize work, and support employee development Foster a culture of safety and continuous improvement Additional Duties Serve as backup for Technical Supervisor as needed Conduct job briefings and safety meetings Ensure preventive maintenance programs are executed effectively Maintain accurate documentation including work orders, equipment history, and system updates Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in Industrial Electrical Systems, Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience required Minimum 5 years of power plant or heavy industrial experience Previous supervisory experience preferred
Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical systems in a generation or industrial environment Familiarity with NEC and safety programs (Hold Tag, Confined Space, Hot Work, Fire Protection, Emergency Response) Experience with computerized maintenance management systems Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills Solid math and mechanical aptitude
Abilities:
Ability to read and interpret schematics, drawings, and technical manuals Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong teamwork and leadership capabilities Ability to distinguish colors
Additional Requirements:
Regular attendance and ability to work overtime as needed Must be reachable outside of normal work hours Must comply with Respiratory Protection Policy Work Environment This position operates primarily in an industrial coal-fired power plant and outdoor job sites, with some time spent in an office setting.
