Job Description

About the Role We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to support maintenance and production operations at a large underground mining and industrial facility. This role is responsible for developing and managing daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules to maximize equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and safety performance. The ideal candidate will have strong maintenance planning experience within heavy industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or mining environments and possess a solid understanding of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). What We Offer We provide an excellent benefits package for full-time employees, including: Health insurance Life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Retirement plans Paid time off Employee education reimbursement program Wellness programs Generous relocation package Key Responsibilities Develop and implement resource-levelled maintenance schedules for daily, weekly, and long-term activities Build and maintain detailed maintenance plans and work scopes Coordinate maintenance activities with operations and maintenance teams to ensure timely execution Monitor maintenance KPIs, equipment performance, and maintenance costs Analyze maintenance history and equipment data to identify trends and recommend improvements Support preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance programs Manage spare parts coordination and procurement activities to support maintenance operations Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, work orders, and asset records Support maintenance budgeting activities and explain budget variances Participate in root cause analysis (RCA) investigations for recurring or high-risk equipment failures Manage and maintain the CMMS system, including master data integrity and work order accuracy Work closely with reliability and maintenance teams to improve maintenance effectiveness and equipment reliability Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience Minimum 4 years of experience in maintenance planning or scheduling Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, utilities, or mining Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) required; IFS experience preferred Strong understanding of maintenance planning processes and maintenance best practices Experience with electrical systems maintenance planning preferred Familiarity with predictive maintenance technologies and data analysis tools Knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to industrial maintenance Underground mining experience preferred Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook CMRP certification preferred
Pay:
$95,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
