The Maintenance Director will assist us in achieving our mission of growing a quality-oriented and employee-friendly organization.

Maintenance Director Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruit, interview, and hire personnel to maintain proper staffing levels Oversee the scheduling of staff to ensure uninterrupted facility operations Supervise the purchasing, storage, and distribution of housekeeping, cleaning, and laundry supplies Conduct and oversee fire, disaster, and evacuation drills for all shifts Perform additional duties as assigned by the Administrator Participate in the Department Head weekend supervisor rotation Be on-call 24/7 to handle facility emergencies and urgent repairs Schedule and oversee life safety inspections, including fire alarms, sprinklers, and generators Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of housekeeping, laundry, dietary, HVAC, and facility equipment

Maintenance Director Qualifications:

High school diploma preferred Some business and personnel management training is preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing, electricity, heating, and air-conditioning (Licensure or certification in these areas is a plus) Knowledge of OSHA and IDPH regulations related to housekeeping, laundry, and maintenance Strong organizational and leadership skills
