  • $135,000 depending on experience Shift Premium $4,000 shift premium included in base Job Summary The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for direct supervision of the Maintenance Supervisors and their teams.
The Maintenance Superintendent is responsible for ensuring operations keeps running effectively by leading and providing direction to the maintenance supervisor and their teams. Areas of focus will be at the main facility and ensure the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities Lead team to effectively manage their crew in daily preventative and predictive maintenance assignments to maintain and improve our equipment. Use analytical and troubleshooting skills to improve processes and coaching team to do the same. Ensure your team receives training and stays up to date on all job duties, rules, regulations and company policies. Audit and provide team opportunities to further develop with the department and organization. Utilize decision making to make improvements on a daily basis while keeping the best interest of the customer in mind. Emphasize cross-function team building and input to help achieve department, plant and company goals as well as provide top notch customer service to the production team to promote safe and efficient daily operations. Bring your big-picture vision as well as your ability to learn quickly and work alongside your team and production team members as needed while maintaining a safe working environment. Use detailed oriented skills to organize and schedule daily tasks for your team as well as provide sufficient working materials and supplies to get the job done. Be open to change and able to think on your feet while tackling issues resulting in downtime. Ensure accurate and detailed follow up with your team as well as be comfortable to report these details to upper management to keep a cohesive and results driven attitude. Conduct performance management reviews with the team. Special projects as assigned. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Job Requirements Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge industrial maintenance and production equipment maintenance. Direct experience with maintenance planning and/or supervision is preferred.
Knowledge:
Knowledge of CMRP or other maintenance planning platforms.
Leadership:
Ability to lead, motivate and develop others. Coaching and performance management experience is a plus. Ability to problem solve. Knowledge of timekeeping systems is a benefit. Must be able to work with other departments and follow all food safety guidelines and HACCP requirements. Must have computer skills to communicate and process data.
Age:
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Authorization:
Must be authorized to work in the United States; no sponsorships are available.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
Physical Abilities:
Ability to stand for long periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, including above the head and below the waist.
Environmental:
Ability to work in varying temperature conditions. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
Flexibility:
Must be able to work extended hours including weekends as needed.
Compliance:
Must practice good personal hygiene. Candidates must successfully pass a post-offer/pre-employment drug test, background screen, physical and E-Verify.
