12-Month Administrative Position Salary Not less than $75,000 Paid twice a month on the 10th and 25th of each month.Employment Benefits:

Fifteen (15) days per year—accumulate to 340.Bereavement Leave:

Eleven (11) days each year. New Year's Day, Friday before Eater, Juneteenth National Freedom Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve A holiday will not cause a deduction from an employee's time or compensation. The District may require educational support personnel to work on a school holiday during an emergency or for the continued operation and maintenance of facilities or property. Personnel required to work on a school holiday will be compensated at the rate of one and one-half times their regular rate in addition to their regular holiday pay, for all time worked. July 1, 2026Position Purpose:
The Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining the school district facilities and grounds. The Maintenance Director in charge of the Maintenance Department personnel and the performance of custodial services of the buildings and grounds of School District 165.Essential Functions:
Maintaining the school district HVAC systems.- Receiving, evaluating, and assigning routine maintenance tasks.
- Supervising maintenance personnel and overseeing the performance of custodial services.
- Developing and supervising completion of preventative maintenance program on heating and air conditioning systems, drains and mechanical equipment in the District.
- Monitoring heating and air conditioning equipment to ensure proper performance, evaluating complaints and referring to maintenance staff or to Honeywell, Johnson Controls, or other repair services as needed.
- Making minor repairs to equipment, adjusting thermostats, etc. to maintain room comfort.
- Monitoring computer control system, programming as necessary for special events. Programming computer to conserve as much energy as possible. Working with Johnson Controls to upgrade energy-saving capability.
- Attending service schools and meetings to obtain new information about controls and mechanical systems.
- Scheduling routine and emergency maintenance service with service contractors.
- Making recommendations to supervisor and administration which will increase efficiency of operation in the District.
- Authorizing payment of overtime hours for maintenance staff.
- Approving purchases of supplies, materials and equipment used for maintenance purposes. Ensuring that supplies and materials are identified as to use, initiate purchase orders, record expenditures and see that purchase orders are filed.
- Working with maintenance personnel to develop an inventory of frequently used repair parts such as flush valves, etc.
- Pursue professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge.

Travel Requirements:
Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards:
- Work in standard office and school building environments.
- Outdoor and indoor work responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications Profile:
- Applicant must have a background and successful experience with comprehensive maintenance and upkeep of large-scale facilities.
- HVAC Certification and HVAC experience preferred.
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License or ability to provide own transportation.
- Familiar with Building Automation Systems.
