Street Department Superintendent

Street Department Superintendent Village of Glen Carbon The Village of Glen Carbon is accepting applications for the position of Street Superintendent. The position is responsible for the safe and efficient daily operations of the Street Department including publicly owned streets, alleys, sidewalks, signage, rights-of-way, drainage systems and the street department building and facilities. Primary duties include supervision of street department personnel, and oversight for road construction, repair, and maintenance activities.

Required Experience and Qualifications :

• Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have 5 or more years' experience in all aspects of street maintenance, street repair or street construction in a public works environment or related field.
• Must have 3 or more years supervisory experience.
• Must possess a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record.
• Must have a Dept. of Agriculture applicator's license or be able to obtain.
• Must have ability to operate light to heavy equipment, tools, and communication equipment.
• Must be proficient in related computer applications (MS Work, Excel, Outlook as well as GIS)
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with others including the general public.

Salary and Benefits:

• Salary Range is $76,035.95 - $86,680.97
• Employee Health Insurance covered at 90% for employees and dependents. Current medical deductible $150 for single/$450 family
