Maintenance Director Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Maintenance Director to join our team at Joliet Living and Rehab Center LLC in Joliet, IL. As a key member of our leadership team, the Maintenance Director will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the Maintenance Department to ensure the facility is maintained in a safe and comfortable manner.
Responsibilities:
Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Maintenance Department, its programs, and activities Assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of directing the Maintenance Department Coordinate maintenance services and activities with other related departments Establish a preventive maintenance program Repair facility/resident property as necessary Participate in facility surveys (inspections) made by authorized government agencies Perform administrative duties such as completing necessary forms, reports, evaluations, and controlling equipment and supplies Attend department head meetings, etc., as scheduled or as may be called Make periodic rounds to check equipment and to assure that necessary equipment is available and working properly Monitor maintenance procedures to ensure that supplies are used in an efficient manner to avoid waste Be prepared to handle emergencies as they come How to
