Grow revenue. Keep customers happy. Coordinate sales, service flow, and staff. Key Duties Write estimates and present options. Own daily sales targets. Build, train, and coach the sales team. Greet customers and qualify needs. Upsell maintenance and protection plans. Set daily car count goals with service. Plan the 5-bay schedule for peak flow. Assign jobs by tech skill and bay. Track parts status, ETA with vendors. Approve RO add-ons and discounts. Monitor work-in-progress every hour. Handle tough customer issues fast. Ensure proper payment and financing. Close out ROs with accurate parts and labor. Maintain clean lobby, lot, and bays. Enforce safety and compliance rules. Report KPIs to the owner each day and week.
Key Performance Indicators:
Daily/weekly sales ($) and gross profit %. Car count and average RO. Bay utilization % and cycle time. Estimate-to-close rate. Comeback rate and warranty cost. Customer satisfaction (CSI/NPS). Parts margin and inventory accuracy.
Skills & Experience:
3+ years in auto sales, service writing, or store lead. Strong people and closing skills. Knows shop flow and bay scheduling. Able to read inspections and prioritize work. Good with POS and digital inspections. Clear, calm communicator. Math and margin sense. Bilingual a plus.
Tools You'll Use:
Tekmetric Digital vehicle inspection software. Call and text Basic Excel/Sheets.
Work Hours:
Full-time. (5.5 days) Weekends as needed. On-call for emergencies.
Education:
High school diploma or GED required. ASE Service Consultant or Manager cert is a plus. Sales training is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
Walk bays and lot. Lift up to 25 lbs occasionally. Stand for long periods. What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days): Stable car count and smooth bay flow. Clean estimates and strong close rate. Fewer comebacks. Happy customers and team morale up. Accurate, on-time KPI reports.
Compensation & Benefits:
Base pay + bonus tied to sales and GP. Health, PTO, and staff discounts. Training and growth opportunities.
