  • Key Responsibilities & Duties Lead maintenance activities and support the Maintenance Manager in daily operations Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair high-speed packaging and processing equipment Perform electrical troubleshooting (110/230/460V systems, motors, relays, panels, wiring) Conduct preventive maintenance and schedule work orders Troubleshoot and perform minor programming on PLC systems Maintain conveyors, wrappers, check-weighers, cartoners, and case packers Support facility maintenance including plumbing, lighting, and building systems Train employees on equipment safety, lifts, and welding practices Assist with wastewater system operations and coverage Coordinate and monitor contractors performing maintenance or repairs Ensure compliance with safety standards including LOTO and OSHA guidelines Maintain equipment readiness for production and minimize downtime Fabricate parts and modify equipment as needed Communicate effectively across maintenance, production, sanitation, and leadership teams Qualifications•Needed High school diploma or equivalent required Minimum 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Strong background in food manufacturing (USDA or FDA environments) Experience with high-speed packaging and conveyor systems Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and PLCs Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics Experience with preventive maintenance programs Strong understanding of safety protocols (LOTO, OSHA) Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus A bit about us:•Founded decades ago and based in Romeoville, IL, with additional operations supporting large-scale food production, they are a leader in food manufacturing and packaging.
