Environmental Services Director (Maintenance Director) Charter Senior Living of Gateway -
Greenfield, IN Salary:
$63,000 - $67,000/year Lead Operations. Ensure Safety. Support Resident Experience. Charter Senior Living is dedicated to the care and wellbeing of our residents. We are seeking a hands-on Environmental Services Director to lead all maintenance and environmental operations at our Gateway community. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the community is safe, well-maintained, and operating efficiently at all times. What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities) Oversee all aspects of community maintenance operations , including: Resident apartments Common areas and grounds Building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) Ensure the community remains safe, clean, and compliant with all regulations Perform and coordinate preventative maintenance programs Manage and respond to work orders and maintenance requests Supervise and support maintenance staff (if applicable) Coordinate with vendors and contractors as needed Maintain required documentation, inspections, and safety logs Drive and maintain the community vehicle/van (as needed) Leadership & Resident Experience Lead by example in delivering exceptional service to residents Build relationships with residents and staff to support a positive living environment Participate in resident onboarding by explaining community features and services Collaborate with department leaders to ensure a holistic approach to care and operations What We're Looking For Previous experience in maintenance leadership (senior living, healthcare, hotel, or multi-family housing preferred) Strong working knowledge of: HVAC systems Plumbing and electrical systems General building maintenance Experience with preventative maintenance programs and inspections Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond to urgent issues Strong problem-solving and organizational skills Valid driver's license (required) Hands-on, dependable, and team-oriented mindset Compensation & Benefits $63,000 - $67,000/year Free medical insurance plan available Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401(k) Paid Time Off, Holidays, and Training ZayZoon - access your pay when you need it Perfect attendance bonus (up to $100/month) Referral bonus program Career growth and advancement opportunities Stable schedule and supportive leadership environment Why Join Charter Senior Living?Our associates consistently say:
