Hotel Chief Engineer

Job Summary As the Hotel Chief Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the efficient operation and maintenance of our hotel's facilities. Your expertise will ensure that all systems, from HVAC to electrical, are running smoothly and effectively, creating a safe and comfortable environment for our guests and staff. You will lead a dedicated team, manage projects, and implement best practices in facilities management. Your leadership will inspire excellence in service delivery and operational efficiency. What you'll do Oversee the maintenance and repair of all hotel systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. Manage a team of skilled technicians, providing guidance and fostering a collaborative work environment. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to enhance operational efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Lead projects related to facility upgrades or renovations, ensuring timely completion within budget. Analyze schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively and develop solutions for complex mechanical or electrical problems. Maintain high voltage and low voltage systems while ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Provide training and mentorship to staff on maintenance best practices and equipment handling. Basic qualifications Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in industrial maintenance. Proficiency in managing programmable logic controllers (PLC) and electrical systems. Preferred qualifications Proven supervisory experience in a facilities management role. Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery. Strong leadership abilities with a focus on team development and performance enhancement. Solid understanding of maintenance management principles including the use of an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics.
