HOURS:
7:00 am•3:00 pm, Monday•
Friday SALARY:
$2,685.42 to $3,093.16 biweekly
DESCRIPTION
Incumbent serves as General Foreman for Fleet Maintenance. Incumbent supervises the work of all crews to ensure that all projects and responsibilities of the department are completed. Incumbent ensures that all policies and procedures are followed by employees. Incumbent reports to the Director of Fleet Maintenance and Street Commissioner.
REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in Management or related field preferred; management work experience will be considered in lieu of post-secondary education. A valid Indiana driver's license. A.S.E. certification preferred, or equivalent work experience with automotive repair. Thorough knowledge, understanding and application of supervision principles, practices, and methods. Working knowledge of reference materials and manuals relating to essential and non-essential functions. Ability to use materials in departmental operations safely. Ability to schedule, coordinate, and properly execute projects and work requirements. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Ability to problem solve. Ability to monitor and work within departmental budgets. Ability to maintain a safe work environment. Ability to utilize reference manuals and computer systems effectively. Working knowledge of computer databases and ability to enter data accurately. Ability to exhibit human relations and supervisory skills. Ability to complete and maintain required reports and paperwork. Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as weather and circumstances dictate.
