Job Description

River View Farms Inc is looking for a seasoned Maintenance Technician to join a new Egg Production Plant startup located in Orleans, IN. This individual will start approximately 1.5 months prior to plant opening, traveling daily to our Washington, IN Egg Plant to shadow and learn processes associated with the facility. Production will be 5 days a week at startup with the potential to increase to 6 days depending on demand. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and fixing any equipment breakdowns within the plant, fixing primarily mechanical and electrical issues. This individual will be creating and maintaining a maintenance schedule, aligning with the equipment manufacturers' recommendations. The plant will feature robotics and automation, so previous knowledge in those areas or demonstration of the ability to learn quickly will be highly beneficial. The ability to identify problems before they lead to breakdowns will be vital for this role's success in the long term. While there is a maintenance schedule that will be followed, each day will be different as issues within the plant as they arise. The ideal candidate will be able to learn quickly, show initiative and solve problems on the go. Must Haves 3+ Years of maintenance experience in a production environment featuring automation Strong experience troubleshooting both mechanical and electrical equipment Professional experience creating and maintaining a maintenance schedule Proficiency in reading and understanding equipment blueprints Plusses Heating and cooling experience Experience in a food facility working with proper food safety practices Conveyor maintenance experience
