Job Description
About the Role As a Lead Industrial Maintenance Technician, you will serve as a technical authority for high-speed production lines, ensuring maximum equipment uptime and operational efficiency. You will play a critical role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and mentoring technical staff to elevate overall plant performance. Responsibilities Lead complex equipment overhauls and preventative maintenance projects to restore machinery to peak performance. Perform advanced root cause analysis on mechanical and electrical failures to eliminate recurring downtime. Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) to streamline troubleshooting and machine reliability. Collaborate with leadership to implement process upgrades and optimize throughput across bottling and injection molding systems. Provide technical training and guidance to operators and junior technicians on machine setup, changeovers, and quality standards. Maintain a safe, compliant work environment by enforcing rigorous safety protocols and manufacturing best practices. Qualifications Required Skills 6+ years of experience in industrial maintenance within a high-speed manufacturing environment. 4+ years of experience in a leadership or project management capacity. Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics. Expertise in precision measuring tools, shop equipment, and mechanical assembly. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite for reporting and data analysis. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Preferred Skills 10+ years of maintenance experience with specialized expertise in blow molding or injection molding. Advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, including 480VAC systems, PLCs, VFDs, and servo controllers. Proven track record in executing continuous improvement projects and process optimization. Skilled in fabrication, including welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and machining. Experience with major OEM equipment such as Krones, Husky, or Sidel. Demonstrated ability to mentor teams and foster cross-departmental collaboration.
