Job Description Location:

Rockport, IN Cleveland-Cliffs Rockport Works is seeking a Maintenance Planner and Shift Manager to provide frontline leadership to skilled trades employees in our Finishing Department. This role supports safe, efficient, and reliable operation of critical plant systems within the Cold Mill section, with a significant portion of the focus dedicated to the maintenance, reliability, and troubleshooting of the welder.

Summary of Responsibilities:

Lead and direct hourly maintenance personnel during daily operations and downturns. Provide primary maintenance support for the welder in the Cold Mill, including planning, troubleshooting, coordinating PM tasks, and ensuring equipment reliability. Plan, schedule, and coordinate maintenance using CMMS tools; maintain accurate TS16949 documentation. Evaluate and prioritize maintenance requests and coordinate with engineering, operations, and vendors. Prepare outage-related reports and assist with resource and cost planning. Enter requisitions for parts, supplies, and contracted services; manage maintenance backlog. Direct troubleshooting and repairs on production equipment, facilities, and utilities. Support safety, quality, and maintenance procedure implementation. Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
