Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor - Multifamily (4 Properties) | Wichita, KS Crain Management Company is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations across four apartment communities in Wichita, KS. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for maintaining the physical assets, managing maintenance staff, and ensuring high-quality service for our residents. Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor will lead all aspects of property maintenance, including service requests, unit turns, preventative maintenance, and vendor coordination. This role requires strong technical skills, leadership ability, and a commitment to maintaining safe, well-kept communities. Key Responsibilities Oversee maintenance operations across multiple properties in Wichita Supervise and support maintenance staff; work closely with Property Manager Coordinate and complete unit turns (make-readies) in a timely manner Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs Respond to and complete service requests within 24 hours when possible Perform routine property inspections to ensure quality standards Diagnose and repair issues related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, drywall, and building exteriors Manage inventory, order supplies, and maintain cost efficiency Obtain bids and coordinate with vendors and contractors Maintain accurate records of service requests, work orders, and maintenance logs Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies Qualifications & Skills 2+ years of supervisory experience in multifamily maintenance Strong working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs EPA certification required Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills Strong problem-solving and time management abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Must own basic hand tools High school diploma or GED required Valid Driver's License Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based incentives Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Life insurance and long-term disability coverage Flexible Spending Account (FSA) Paid time off (PTO) and holidays Work Schedule Full-time position Flexible schedule required, including evenings, weekends, and on-call rotation
Pay:
$24.00 - $28.00 per hour
