Maintenance Lead (Hands-On / On-Call) A&S Metal Recycling - Park City, KS A&S Metal Recycling is a privately owned company with 44 years in business. We are a stable, long-term operation in an essential industry. This is a working Maintenance Lead role. You will be hands-on every day—turning wrenches, welding, troubleshooting hydraulics, and responding to breakdowns. This is not an office job. Candidate will be on call. The Maintenance Lead reports directly to the Operations Manager. ________________________________________ What You'll Do 1. Perform hands-on maintenance and emergency repairs on briquetters, crushers , shear, conveyors, and baler. 2. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems (pumps, valves, cylinders, hoses) 3. Maintain and repair forklifts, skid steers, and misc. warehouse equipment 4. Perform welding and fabrication, as needed 5. Travel locally within the Wichita area to service A&S-owned onsite machines 6. Lead and work alongside maintenance personnel 7. Perform and document preventive maintenance to minimize downtime 8. Be on-call on a rotating schedule nights and weekends for breakdowns 9. Document and maintain workorder scheduler with completion dates 10. Follow and help enforce safety procedures (LOTO, hot work, confined space) ________________________________________ What We're Looking For 1. 5+ years of hands-on industrial maintenance, including building maintenance experience 2. Experience with briquetting machines and crusher helpful 3. Strong hydraulic troubleshooting skills 4. Welding and fabrication experience 5. Experience with forklifts, skid steers, and mobile warehouse equipment 6. Willingness to be on-call 7. Ability to travel locally (Wichita area) 8. Valid driver's license 9.
