Job Description

Your Role as a
Maintenance Supervisor:
Skilled Nursing As the Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise and coordinate activities of team members engaged in maintaining and repairing the physical structures, utility systems, and grounds of the community. This leadership role ensures a safe, functional, and well-maintained environment for residents, staff, and visitors while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
What You'll Do:
Supervise and coordinate maintenance staff engaged in building and grounds upkeep Direct team members performing painting, structural repairs, and maintenance of masonry, woodwork, and furnishings Oversee maintenance and repair of building utility systems, including electrical wiring and controls, HVAC systems, and plumbing Ensure proper implementation of lock-out/tag-out procedures and safety protocols Inspect work to ensure repairs and maintenance meet required standards Communicate maintenance needs, timelines, and concerns with leadership and other departments Ensure compliance with state, federal, ASI, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations Maintain a safe, organized work environment and ensure proper use of tools and equipment Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed to support facility operations
Physical Demands:
Stand, sit, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and change positions frequently Lift up to 50 lbs. and push or pull equipment as needed Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Safety Requirements:
Adhere to OSHA, HIPAA, and facility safety policies at all times Ensure proper labeling, storage, and handling of chemicals and equipment Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure team compliance Report work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentation Participate in company drug testing procedures
Work Environment:
This position operates in a Skilled Nursing environment and requires frequent interaction with residents, families, staff, vendors, and leadership. The role includes both supervisory responsibilities and hands-on support.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required Must be at least 18 years of age Supervisory experience preferred Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, visitors, and co-workers Knowledge of building maintenance systems and safety practices Commitment to following HIPAA, OSHA, and state and federal guidelines
