Position Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the team members that are on their shift. This includes but is not limited to their safety, quality of work, and meeting the department goals. Using their knowledge and required skills laid out in the Maintenance Tech job responsible to teach, guide, and support the development of each team member. This position will report to the Supervisor receiving guidance and direction for the shift and ultimately the department's path to growth
Key Responsibilities:
Working with team members to continue their growth and development Departmental tracking of safety, quality, and production with reports, documentation, and data sheets handwritten and/or digital Monitor, training, and auditing area to ensure all Work Instructions, SOP, and Key Points are being followed. Ensure all are following all department safety rules and regulations including facility PPE requirements. Performs other duties as required.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong verbal and written communication. Excellent problem solving and time management. Ability to work well in a multi-cultural environment. Ability to read and comprehend basic English Ability to follow instructions Familiar with production equipment Good working knowledge of metric and standard tools A good basic understanding of computers, email, and other software to teach, train, and track the process in EAM system
Education & Experience:
Leadership abilities and experience High school diploma or equivalent is required Technical school, or 2-year college; or six months to one year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with Machine Repair required Experience with heavy equipment, industrial, maintenance or automotive repair preferred Willingness to learn and work to be the best of his/her abilities as well to help the Kobe Maintenance Team to grow from your experience. Experience leading a group of people in a manufacturing and/or shop environment a plus.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Requires occasional physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs. Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environment
