This position will supervise all shifts, providing work tasks, assessing needs, scheduling projects and oversight of all grounds and building maintenance.
Job Duties:
Supervision of Maintenance and Operations Personnel:
Provides leadership and supervision by developing and implementing work procedures and schedules for the Lees Campus maintenance employees. Complete evaluations of work performance. Provides training opportunities for maintenance employees to assist them professionally.
Facilities Management :
Establishes and implements preventative maintenance and prompt professional service to improve the appearance, operation and functional life of Lees Campus facilities and grounds. Communicates with outside vendors of facility repairs and monitors systems for operation.
Management of Equipment and Supplies Budget:
Responsible for ordering needed maintenance and janitorial supplies for the Lees Campus. Make suggestions on any needed janitorial equipment needed to make the department run efficiently. Monitors the Lees Campus Maintenance & Operations budget to ensure cost control, efficiency, and that budgets are not in deficit at fiscal year end.
Management of Work Order Requests:
Receive work orders from faculty and staff via e-mail, prioritize completion, assign tasks to M&O personnel. Work closely with facility event coordinator to help with internal and external events. This may include set up and take down of various items to ensure the college is represented in a positive way. Work order requests are kept in an organized folder for future reference/reporting.
Safety and Security Assistance:
Works with safety officer to ensure fire drills are administered and monitored for proper evacuation. Assign maintenance department members to areas to monitor as well. Maintain updated SDS sheets and work with outside venders on mandated inspections. Oversee the completion of any found deficiencies and relay information to Acting Chief Financial Officer and CEO/President as needed.
All other duties as assigned:
Provide assistance with other campus needs, provide assistance to other unit departments of Facilities and Business Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree and 3-4 years related experience, or equivalent.
