Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to lead the maintenance operations of our steel fabrication facility. This position is responsible for ensuring the reliability, safety, and efficiency of all production equipment, facility systems, and maintenance personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive industrial maintenance experience, and a proven track record of minimizing downtime in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities and Duties will include: Manage and supervise all maintenance activities for fabrication equipment, facilities, and support systems. Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime. Lead, train, schedule, and evaluate maintenance technicians and outside contractors. Assist in troubleshooting and coordination of repairs on equipment as needed including but not limited to: CNC plasma tables Press brakes Saws and cutting equipment Welding equipment Overhead cranes Air compressors Material handling systems Monitor equipment performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Establish maintenance priorities and respond quickly to equipment breakdowns. Manage maintenance budgets, inventory, spare parts, and vendor relationships. Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards. Maintain maintenance records, work orders, and equipment history. Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize disruptions and improve productivity. Participate in capital projects, equipment installations, and facility upgrades. Schedule and oversee all maintenance-related work by managing a team of maintenance technicians. Work with and schedule work needed by outside contractors. Develop, implement, and maintain PM program on all equipment. Ability to read and understand blueprints, electrical schematics and technical manuals. 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
