DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Assistant Superintendent) Organize, oversee, and monitor all district construction and renovation projects to ensure compliance with timelines, budgets, board policy, and state regulations. Prepare bid specifications and bid document requests. Submit appropriate documentation to the Facilities Branch at KDE for each construction project. Participate in administration meetings with principals and other district administrators. Participate in appropriate local and state professional meetings. Complete school-level reports for the Kentucky Department of Education. Work with the Food Service Director to develop a general plan for the food service program. Coordinate and direct building and grounds functions, and specify federal and state programs. Work with the Transportation Director to maintain effective transportation in the school district. Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the superintendent.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
(Director of Pupil Personnel) Enforce the compulsory attendance and census laws. Ascertain the causes of irregular attendance and truancy and seek the elimination of these causes. Secure enrollment in school for all children who should be enrolled and ensure all enrolled children maintain reasonable, regular attendance. Keep records and complete reports required by law, regulations, the State Board of Education, and the Superintendent and Board of Education. Visit the homes of children who are absent from school or who are reported to need books, clothing, or parental care. Maintain records and enrollments for home schools in the district. Serve as chair of the calendar committee. Coordinate and supervise services and personnel in the following programs: Home/Hospital instruction. Develop and maintain the Code of Acceptable Behavior and Discipline book. Compile energy data and ensure proper energy use is maintained. Complete yearly reports to the State Department of Education, such as, but not limited to, Growth Factor, SAAR, KEES, LEAD, Safe School, and Calendar. Other Duties Ensure that the teacher's certification is up to date. Will advise teachers yearly of certificates that are to expire at the end of the school year. Compile and maintain a yearly list of home-schooled students. Director of Facilities Director of Insurance Participate/support school readiness initiatives Director of Infinite Campus. Ensure all teachers have access and sufficient permissions in Infinite Campus to perform their assigned duties. Assign the right to parents/guardians in the Parent Portal to view their child(ren)'s grades/attendance. Perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES
Appropriate Kentucky Department of Education administrative certification required, including Director of Pupil Personnel and Superintendent certification (or actively pursuing such credentials), along with a valid Kentucky teaching certificate.
