Fleet Maintenance Manager - Dump Truck and Heavy Equipment AXIOS Industrial Solutions, LLC Ama, LA Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $130,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications ASE Certification Bilingual Diesel engine system repair Diesel mechanics Safety regulations CDL Fleet management DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations Maintenance management Diesel engine repair Full Job Description Fleet Maintenance Manager We are seeking a hands-on Fleet Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance operations for a multi-site fleet across Louisiana and Mississippi. This position oversees dump trucks, heavy-haul trucks, and tractor units while building a world-class preventive maintenance program that maximizes equipment uptime, safety, and reliability. Key Responsibilities Lead all fleet maintenance operations across multiple locations (travel required). Develop and manage a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance (PM) program. Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians and shop personnel. Coordinate repairs, diagnostics, roadside assistance, and emergency breakdown response. Manage maintenance budgets, vendors, inventory, and cost controls. Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Utilize fleet maintenance software Support fleet replacement planning and long-term maintenance strategies. Perform hands-on mechanical work as needed. Qualifications 5+ years of diesel mechanic experience. Previous maintenance leadership or supervisory experience. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, DOT compliance, and fleet operations. ASE certification or equivalent preferred. CDL preferred. Experience with Fleetio or similar fleet management software. What We're Looking For Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills. Self-starter with excellent leadership and communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to improve fleet reliability, reduce downtime, and lead high-performing teams.
Work Environment:
Shop, yard, and outdoor environments with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year

Diesel engine repair: 5 years (Required) DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations: 5 years (Required)
