This Highway Foreman 2 supervises maintenance activities to ensure roads and bridges are durable and safe for public travel. Please visit our DOTD Career Center for more information about our agency: https://dotd.la.gov/about/office-of-management-and-finance/human-resources/career-center/ Four years of experience in the construction, maintenance, or repair of roads, bridges, levees, drainage facilities, wharfs, buildings, or grounds; OR Four years of experience in the operation or maintenance of electronically controlled locks or industrial or heavy mobile equipment.

Job Duties:
Makes minor repairs and performs preventative maintenance on above equipment to keep it clean and in good operating condition as per manufacturer's recommendations. Ensure proper information given to clerk for Notifications to be created through Plant Maintenance for all equipment repairs in a timely manner, Operate tractor-trailers and tandem dump trucks as required. Supervises the entries of subordinates scheduled work hours are properly coded in Agile System through the PDA (man hours, equipment, mileage, control elements, asset inventory). Ensure monthly building inspection, and safety meetings are conducted and properly recorded and filed.
