As an Engineering Team Lead at the Hyatt Regency New Orleans, you'll serve as a go‑to resource for the engineering team — helping coordinate daily work, supporting team members, and ensuring maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to Hyatt standards. This hands-on role blends advanced maintenance skills with on‑the‑floor leadership. You'll help guide workflow, provide coaching and support, and step in as needed to keep operations running smoothly — all while leading by example. What You'll Do Help coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance tasks across the engineering team Coordinate and drive preventative maintenance to completion Support team workflow by assigning tasks as directed and tracking progress to completion Perform advanced maintenance and repairs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry) Step in to assist with hands‑on work to ensure timely and high‑quality results Act as a resource and mentor to team members, providing guidance and on‑the‑job coaching Partner closely with housekeeping and front office to align on room readiness and guest needs Conduct walkthroughs of guest rooms, public spaces, and back‑of‑house areas to identify issues Help ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently Promote safety standards and proper maintenance practices Communicate updates, challenges, and priorities effectively with leadership and the team Identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and operational improvements Benefits Include Career Growth and Advancement
