Service Manager Felix's Restaurant and Oyster Bar- Lakefront New Orleans, LA Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $60,000 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Employee discount Qualifications Operations management Inventory management Administrative experience Team development Cash handling Full Job Description The Service Manager is responsible for leading front-of-house operations to ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, and efficient daily restaurant operations. This role oversees service standards, staff development, guest satisfaction, cleanliness, scheduling, and communication between departments while maintaining the hospitality standards of Felix's Restaurant & Oyster Bar. Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Experience Ensure every guest receives friendly, professional, and attentive service Resolve guest concerns quickly and professionally Maintain a visible presence on the dining floor during service Uphold hospitality and service standards at all times Team Leadership Supervise servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, and support staff Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training new employees Coach and develop team members to improve performance Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily goals and updates Maintain positive morale and accountability among staff Operations Oversee daily opening and closing procedures Ensure dining rooms, bars, restrooms, and service stations remain clean and organized Monitor labor costs and assist with scheduling Maintain compliance with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure smooth service flow Financial & Administrative Duties Assist with cash handling and end-of-day reports Monitor comps, voids, discounts, and service recovery procedures Support inventory controls and supply ordering as needed Help achieve sales and operational goals Event & Entertainment Coordination Assist in managing special events, private dining, brunches, live music, and entertainment service flow Ensure proper staffing and guest experience during high-volume events Qualifications 2+ years restaurant management or supervisory experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of food, beverage, and hospitality operations Weekend, holiday, and evening availability required Professional appearance and attitude POS system experience preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Ability to lift up to 30 pounds Ability to work in a high-volume environment Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonus opportunities Employee dining discounts Growth opportunities within the company
