Job Description

About the Role As a Plant Maintenance Lead, you will spearhead efforts to maximize operational uptime and facility efficiency within a fast-paced production environment. You will leverage your technical expertise in industrial automation and team leadership to drive continuous improvement and ensure all equipment meets rigorous safety and quality standards. Responsibilities Direct the daily activities and scheduling of maintenance personnel to ensure optimal workflow and project completion. Oversee the execution of comprehensive preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime and extend asset life. Manage technical documentation, including work orders, inventory databases, and material procurement, to maintain strict labor and budget controls. Perform advanced troubleshooting on electrical systems up to 600V, pneumatics, and industrial automation equipment to resolve complex mechanical issues. Utilize precision welding techniques, including TIG and plasma cutting, to fabricate and repair essential production infrastructure. Mentor and develop staff through performance appraisals, training initiatives, and consistent guidance on operational procedures. Champion a culture of safety and sanitation by enforcing compliance with all regulatory and internal quality standards. Qualifications Required Skills Technical degree or equivalent trade certification. 5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, with at least 3 years specifically in food manufacturing. 2+ years of proven supervisory experience with a focus on team leadership and task allocation. Proficiency in troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, and industrial robotics. Strong background in root cause analysis and mechanical repair. Preferred Skills Experience with Allen-Bradley control systems. Valid forklift operator certification for both sit-down and stand-up models. Demonstrated success in managing departmental labor costs and project timelines.
