Job Description

Automotive Service Manager Elkton, MD Are you a results‑driven leader with a passion for customer service and developing high‑performing teams? A growing automotive group is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager who is ready to take ownership of operations, lead by example, and drive exceptional customer satisfaction and profitability. As Service Manager, you will play a critical leadership role—overseeing day‑to‑day service operations, mentoring your team, and ensuring every customer experience reflects the highest standards of quality and care. What You'll Do Lead and coach the service team to deliver outstanding customer experiences Conduct daily one‑on‑one status meetings to identify and resolve service issues proactively Oversee repair and maintenance workflow to maximize efficiency and minimize delays Partner with the Service Director to establish department goals and performance benchmarks Recruit, hire, train, and develop service advisors and technicians Monitor and analyze service sales, productivity, and financial performance Ensure proper repair order flow and maximize technician productivity Manage warranty activity in compliance with manufacturer and dealership guidelines Maintain departmental budgets and control expenses Stay current on new products, technologies, and service procedures Administer payroll in coordination with the payroll department and leadership team Enforce OSHA standards and maintain a safe, compliant work environment Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development Maintain service facility standards, tools, and equipment Lead weekly service department meetings and participate in manager meetings What We're Looking For Associate's degree or equivalent from a technical school OR 2-4 years of automotive service management or related experience Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and hold teams accountable Strong organizational, communication, and customer‑service skills Solid understanding of fixed‑ops financials, warranty processes, and workflow management What We Offer We believe in investing in our leaders.
