• Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic team in the automotive industry.

The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their needs are met while providing exceptional service. This role involves communicating effectively with both customers and technicians, managing service orders, and facilitating a smooth workflow in the service department. We are a family owned and operated and growing fast. This is a big opportunity for a motivated individual. Commission and bonus play plans, vacation in the first year. Car count is growing every month. We are growing fast and I promise to never let off the gas. Duties Greet customers upon arrival and assess their automotive service needs. Create detailed service orders that accurately reflect customer requests and vehicle issues. Communicate with service technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure proper diagnostics. Provide customers with estimates for services, including upselling additional services when appropriate. Schedule appointments and manage the workflow of vehicles in the shop. Follow up with customers regarding completed services and ensure satisfaction. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions. Stay informed about new automotive technologies and services to better assist customers. Experience Previous experience in automotive repair or service writing is preferred. Familiarity with automotive diagnostics, oil changes, and diesel engine repair is a plus. Strong sales skills with a proven ability to upsell services effectively. Knowledge of auto estimating processes within a dealership environment is beneficial. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact professionally with customers and team members. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
