  • A courteous, team-oriented staff culture Position Summary & Key Responsibilities Provides comprehensive leadership and oversight of all facility maintenance operations, ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency across the Center .
Oversees daily facility maintenance activities while maintaining strong quality control over all systems, equipment, and services. Staff Leadership & Supervision Provides overall management and supervision of facility maintenance staff, including the training, mentoring, and oversight of Job Corps Work-Based Learning students assigned to the department . Ensures all integrity guidelines and procedures are strictly followed, with zero tolerance for manipulation of student data . Planning, Budgeting & Quality Control Leads facility maintenance operations through effective planning, budget control, staff development, scheduling, and performance evaluation . Manages and ensures quality control of all facility and equipment subcontracted work performed on Center, including oversight of National Office and Facility Lessor (third-party) projects as they impact Center operations . Collaboration & Project Coordination Collaborates closely with Center Management during CTST project planning sessions and CTST/Maintenance meetings to ensure all construction and renovation activities meet Company quality control standards and operational requirements •. Preventative Maintenance & Energy Management Develops, implements, and manages the Center's energy conservation initiatives, preventative maintenance programs, facility management strategies, and related operational plans . Oversees the development, management, and effective implementation of a computerized work order system, ensuring timely corrective and preventative maintenance. Coordinates work order processing with CTT instructors to promote meaningful student involvement . Subcontract & Compliance Oversight Prepares detailed scopes of work for subcontracted services and develops comprehensive punch lists to ensure contractor performance meets subcontract requirements and complies with local, Company, and Government standards •. Staffing, Training & Accountability Ensures all staff comply with rest and meal break requirements . Fills staff vacancies in a timely manner and motivates, empowers, and holds staff accountable for fulfilling job responsibilities and producing quality work . Demonstrates strong time-management and delegation skills, supports staff career progression , and administers corrective action when performance standards are not met. Training & Performance Management Provides required and supplemental training for both new and current employees . Creates a positive and supportive work environment by recognizing accomplishments , proactively addressing performance concerns, and motivating staff to work effectively as a team. Student Engagement & Standards Mentors, monitors, and models Career Success Standards in accordance with PRH requirements . Demonstrates respect and courtesy toward students while holding them accountable for their behavior and actions . Student Services & Continuous Improvement Ensures students receive high-quality services that meet their needs while continuously pursuing improvements and enhancements to service delivery . Communicates clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing , and provides accurate, timely, and high-quality information to the Department of Labor and Company representatives when requested . Problem Solving & Decision Making Effectively articulates ideas, identifies and analyzes problems, evaluates appropriate solutions, and takes or recommends action as needed. Follows up to ensure issues are resolved promptly and completely . Teamwork & Flexibility Works collaboratively with staff across all departments to ensure effective supervision and delivery of services to students. Accepts direction from the Center Director, Center Duty Officer, or Shift Manager, including temporary assignments to perform duties of other departments or positions as needed . Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A degree from an accredited institution or a technical certification is preferred . Three (3) or more years of experience in a supervisory capacity is required, with an Electrician, HVAC, and/or Plumbing license preferred . Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull and/or push, carry, reach, stoop, and crouch as part of daily job functions . The employee must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and/or demonstrate the ability to assess lift loads and request assistance when necessary to ensure safe lifting practices .
