Job Description
Position Summary The Service Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the service department. This role manages field service technicians, scheduling, customer support, warranty administration, and service profitability while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. The Service Manager plays a key role in supporting sales growth, maintaining service quality, and developing long-term customer relationships. Key Responsibilities Manage and lead the service department, including field service technicians Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate service technicians and support personnel Coordinate technician scheduling, dispatching, and workload prioritization Ensure timely and accurate completion of preventative maintenance, repairs, installations, and emergency service calls Monitor department performance metrics including labor utilization, response times, profitability, and warranty recovery Work closely with parts, sales, and operations teams to support customer needs and company objectives Assist in preparing service estimates, quotations, and maintenance agreements Review and approve service reports and warranty claims Qualifications 5+ years of experience in industrial equipment service management, preferably in air compressors, rotating equipment, HVAC, pumps, or related industrial systems Strong leadership and team management skills Knowledge of rotary screw compressors, reciprocating compressors, dryers, filtration systems, and compressed air systems preferred Experience with dispatching, scheduling, and field service coordination Strong mechanical and troubleshooting aptitude Excellent customer service and communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and good driving record Preferred Qualifications Experience with mechanical, industrial, or electrical disciplines Experience managing mobile service technicians Understanding of preventative maintenance programs and industrial service contracts Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Work Environment Combination of office and shop Occasional lifting, climbing, and exposure to industrial facilities May require after-hours support or emergency response coordination
Pay:
