Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Stamping Press and Facility Maintenance Supervisor to join our team! In this key role, you will oversee the maintenance and repair of stamping press equipment and manage overall facility upkeep. Your leadership will help ensure our equipment operates efficiently and that our facility remains compliant with safety and quality standards. You will lead a team of maintenance professionals while collaborating with production, quality, and safety teams to optimize operations. The Maintenance Supervisor must be knowledgeable of metal stamping presses, press controls, and programmable press transfer units. . Responsibilities Supervise and lead a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support as needed. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize equipment reliability. Conduct regular inspections of machinery, identifying any issues or potential problems and implementing corrective actions. Coordinate with production and engineering teams to schedule maintenance activities and minimize disruption to production schedules. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, promoting a culture of safety within the maintenance department. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors for specialized maintenance tasks or repairs. Continuously evaluate and improve maintenance processes to optimize efficiency and reduce costs. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and equipment advancements.
Skills/Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Associate's degree in a technical field, trade school or mechanical training in machine repair, including mechanical, electrical and hydraulics OR Experience in maintenance, supervisor roles, and repair operations associated with electrical systems, electronics, fabrication, hydraulics, mechanical drives, pneumatics, robotics, stamping, welding, assembly, and conveyor systems, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and troubleshooting. Must have a thorough understanding of machinery, their functions and maintenance requirements; Working knowledge of presses from 300 Ton to 1,600 Ton; Programmable Transfer die knowledge; Electrical experience with press controls and drive motor units Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent troubleshooting abilities and mechanical aptitude. Familiarity with metal stamping machinery and equipment is highly desirable. Knowledge of preventive maintenance techniques and software systems. Proficient in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
