Influence systems, processes and long-term fleet performance What You 'll Do Lead all shop operations to maintain fleet reliability, uptime and safety performance Manage and develop supervisors, mechanics and the parts team through coaching, training and performance management Use fleet management software and data to prioritize work, identify issues and improve maintenance outcomes Oversee parts department operations, including purchasing, inventory levels and vendor performance Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, safety, accounting and leadership teams Manage maintenance budgets, approve expenses and optimize total cost of ownership Ensure new equipment is received, inspected and properly commissioned before service Drive safety initiatives, incident reviews and injury prevention efforts Lead continuous improvement efforts in maintenance processes, inventory management and shop efficiency Key Skills & Expertise Fleet and heavy equipment maintenance (diesel systems) Shop operations and workforce leadership Parts and inventory management Budgeting and cost control Data analysis and maintenance planning Vendor and supplier coordination What We 're Looking For Minimum 7 years of experience maintaining diesel trucks and heavy equipment At least 2 years of management experience in a multi-shift maintenance environment High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree in diesel technology, management or related field preferred Strong leadership, coaching and team development skills Intermediate skills with Microsoft 365 and fleet management software Ability to drive results through data, organization and accountability Master Medium/Heavy Truck Technician Certification preferred Work Schedule Monday•Friday Typical hours: 8 a.m.•5 p.m. (additional hours as needed) Safety-Sensitive Position This position is designated safety-sensitive.
