Job Description :
We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead skilled trades and maintenance personnel in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for driving a strong safety culture, maximizing equipment uptime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring production equipment operates efficiently and reliably. The ideal candidate has experience supervising maintenance teams in manufacturing, possesses strong mechanical aptitude, and is comfortable working with unionized workforces and rotating shifts. Key Responsibilities Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while enforcing workplace policies and procedures. Lead and coach maintenance and skilled trades employees in equipment maintenance and asset management activities. Drive improvements in equipment reliability, uptime, MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), and MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures). Oversee preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance programs. Utilize machine monitoring tools and data to identify constraints, reduce downtime, and improve production flow. Partner with production, engineering, and plant leadership to resolve equipment and operational issues. Build positive working relationships with hourly employees, union representatives, and management teams. Administer the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) consistently and fairly. Conduct performance evaluations, provide coaching, and support employee development. Lead continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, quality, productivity, and equipment performance. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of 1 year of supervisory and/or manufacturing experience. Basic understanding of PLC logic and controls. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends. Strong communication and leadership skills. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree. Experience with safety and quality systems. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Knowledge of constraint management principles. Previous experience leading a unionized workforce. What We're Looking For Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
