Job Description

Litehouse is seeking a highly-motivated and strategic Manager, Maintenance Engineering to join our team in Lowell, MI! The Manager, Maintenance Engineering is responsible for safe, reliable operations of plant equipment and systems to minimize unplanned downtime and meet or exceed regulatory, budget and food safety practices within the facility. Responsible for providing engineering support for plant operations, with an emphasis on safety, system reliability, and continuous improvement.
What you will do:
Lead and coach the maintenance team to safely maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve plant equipment and facilities. Drive preventive, predictive, and precision maintenance programs while tracking key performance metrics to improve equipment reliability. Oversee capital projects, maintenance budgets, contractor activities, and engineering initiatives to improve plant performance and efficiency. Partner with Operations, Quality, and Engineering to implement continuous improvement initiatives, reduce downtime, and optimize manufacturing processes. Provide engineering oversight for plant infrastructure, including boilers, HVAC, compressed air, utilities, and facility systems while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Ensure compliance with food safety, environmental, and safety standards while supporting audits, regulatory requirements, and continuous improvement efforts. Other activities and duties as assigned.
What you bring:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 4-5 years of engineering or maintenance leadership experience in a manufacturing environment; food manufacturing preferred. Experience leading maintenance, capital projects, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement initiatives. Knowledge of industrial equipment, utilities, preventive maintenance systems, and environmental compliance. Strong analytical, project management, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and drive results. CAD/CAM experience preferred.
