Maintenance Technician- Team LeaderOrion Plant - Auburn Hills, MI As a member of the Maintenance team, the Maintenance Leader will be responsible formaintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automated production equipment. This position diagnoses and repairs mechanical, electrical, and computercontrolled systems, executes preventive maintenance, and supports production teams to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of machinery. In addition, this role provides leadership and coordination for maintenance activities, supporting team performance, development, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The Role:

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair automated manufacturing systemsRead and interpret schematics, diagrams, and blueprintsPerform preventative maintenance per schedules and standardsSupport production teamsSupport startup, commissioning, and validation of new or modified equipmentFollow all safety, OSHA, and plant procedures, including lockout/tagout.

Team Leader Responsibilities:

Coordinate and prioritize work assignments to ensure timely completion of maintenance activitiesSupport training, mentoring, and skill development of team membersEnsure adherence to safety standards, policies, and procedures across the teamPartner with production leadership to align maintenance support with operational needsMonitor work quality and ensure completion meets plant and company standardsDrive continuous improvement initiatives, including downtime reduction and equipment reliabilityAssist in planning and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance programsSupport root cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actionsMaintain accurate maintenance records and support reporting requirements

Physical Requirements:

Standing for long periods of time, climbing stairs or ladders, bending/crouching.

The ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.

Working at heights when needed

Your Qualifications:

5 Years experience in the manufacturing maintenance fieldExperience in automotive production and high-volume manufacturingStrong understanding of electrical/ mechanical/ computer systems workProficiency with industrial automation languageExperience using diagnostic toolsHigh school diploma or GEDTechnical or Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Automation Technology, Industrial maintenance, Electronics or related field.

Certifications (Lockout tagout)Licenses (forklift)Journeymen's CardDemonstrated history of leading teams
