DESCRIPTION
The City of Shoreview is accepting applications for a Maintenance Supervisor in the Street Division of the Public Works Department.DUTIES INCLUDE
Plan, schedule, and implement street operations work program including maintenance and repair of city streets and right of way, snow plowing, fleet maintenance, signage, and surface water Supervise and provide work direction to a crew including training, delegating, scheduling, evaluating job performance, and discipline Inspect/assess street conditions during and after storm/snowfall/weather and other events Enforce safety standards and applicable City work rules, policies and procedures. Ensure proper care of equipment and tools. Ensure annual forklift evaluations are completed Answer questions and resolve problems/concerns from the public and staff Perform administrative duties including assisting with budget preparation, year-end reports, writing specifications, vendor searches, fuel management, writing memos, maintaining maintenance records and preparing employee performance reviews Coordinate and schedule equipment and resources; make sure all necessary materials, supplies and equipment are available by maintaining an inventory and ordering supplies/parts when necessary Perform manual labor and participate in all functions performed by maintenance personnel Other duties and special projects as appropriate or assigned This list is not intended to include all essential job functions, but is representative of the typical job duties.Note :
This position requires regular and reliable attendance, the ability to concentrate and manage multiple priorities, attention to detail and organization, ability to use initiative and exercise good judgment, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work well with others.QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent MN Commercial Driver's License Class B; Must obtain Class A license and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire 5 years general maintenance experience including operating trucks and using light, medium, and heavy equipment 2 years supervisory experience Ability to occasionally lift and/or move 50-100 lbs The final candidate will be required to take and pass a drug test and physical examDesired Qualifications:
Training, vocational/technical coursework or degree in street repair and maintenance Additional maintenance experience Additional supervisory experience Experience in street maintenance Experience using computersOTHER Hours :
Monday•Friday:
7:00 a.m.•3:30 p.m. Subject to call back, unscheduled hours and weekend duty. 2026Hiring Salary Range:
$87,380•$96,345 annually, plus excellent benefits. This position is exempt from overtime pay. (2026 full salary range: $87,380•$116,646 annually)Deadline:

Work is performed indoors and outdoors. Approximately 70% office, 30% field. Indoor duties are performed in an office environment and are administrative. Talking, listening, hearing, reading, sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, kneeling, bending, squatting, grasping and stooping required for daily activities as well as use of a computer and keyboard. Performs general labor including occasionally lifting and/or moving 50-100 lbs. Works outside on a daily basis. Operates construction type vehicles & equipment occasionally.
