Job Description

Strengthen an already amazing team as Service Manager at an award-winning, thriving dealership specializing in zero turn mowers, snow plows and spreaders. We want to be the very best in systems, professionalism, and to be highly successful and wildly profitable, but if we only accomplish these things without positively affecting the people around us, we see this as a failure! We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our service department! Help us continue our track record for top-notch customer service and our reputation for leading the industry with our skill and knowledge of engines and equipment!
Qualifications:
Must have strong character Must enjoy people and have a desire to see them grow Proven leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and lead a diverse team effectively A love of systems Must have strong computer skills A desire to maximize software usage to gain efficiency Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook) and familiar with POS systems, online parts lookup, and basic accounting
Experience Required:
Minimum of five or more years of management experience in a retail environment and excellent mechanical aptitude, preferably in one of the following industries: agricultural equipment, motor vehicle industry, outdoor power equipment, recreational vehicles, construction equipment and machinery or small engines.
Responsibilities and Primary Duties:
Manage hiring and staff development Conduct weekly department meetings to address performance, concerns, and goals Administrate all warranty claims with our manufacturers, making sure to recover 100% of labor and parts Oversee service writers taking in equipment for service Maintain excellent equipment turn-around time and communication with our customers Effectively schedule repairs to the technicians Oversee the service coordinator's staging of service work and parts in the technician's service bays Monitor technician certification statuses and keep all training and testing current Document and report the department's KPI's to the GM weekly Communicate daily to the team where they are with current performance goals, inspiring them to excel Maintain a team-first outlook within the service department, and across all other departments Compensation package: Averaging between $85,000 and $145,000 depending on departmental performance and including additional benefits.
