Job Description

We are seeking an experienced, motivated Automotive Detail Shop Manager to lead the daily operations of our dealership detailing department. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills who can motivate a team, maintain high-quality standards, and ensure vehicles are completed safely and on time. This position is responsible for supervising employees, managing workflow, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring dealership standards are consistently met. These responsibilities are common across automotive detail management roles.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of automotive detail technicians. Schedule daily workflow to meet dealership delivery deadlines. Inspect completed vehicles to ensure they meet quality standards. Train, coach, and develop detail employees. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Monitor productivity and hold employees accountable for performance. Coordinate with Sales and Service departments to prioritize vehicle needs. Order and manage detailing supplies and equipment. Ensure compliance with company safety policies. Assist with detailing vehicles as needed to support the team. Address customer concerns professionally and efficiently.
Qualifications:
Previous experience managing an automotive detailing department or dealership reconditioning team preferred. Strong leadership and team-building skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to work in a fast-paced dealership environment. High attention to detail and commitment to quality. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles is a plus. Ability to stand, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and work both indoors and outdoors.
