St Louis, MO Executive Summary We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Production Manager to lead and oversee our maintenance and mow crews. This role is vital to ensuring efficient scheduling, high crew productivity, excellent client service, and strict safety compliance. If you have a minimum of 3 years' experience in landscape maintenance leadership and strong knowledge in plant care and safety, this could be your next opportunity to grow your career. Key Responsibilities Operations & Scheduling Build efficient maintenance schedules coordinating up to 4 landscape maintenance crews and 7 mowing crews Optimize crew routes and adjust plans for weather, equipment, and customer needs Manage material logistics to ensure timely supply availability Crew Management & Leadership Oversee daily operations of maintenance and mowing crews Assign tasks, coach performance, and foster a positive, professional team culture Conduct daily pre-job meetings covering safety and assignments Troubleshoot operational and production challenges quickly and effectively Snow Removal Operations Willing Operate plow trucks during snow events, ensuring timely and safe snow removal Assist in managing snow plow crews to maintain efficient winter operations Client Relations Perform site walk-throughs and address customer issues promptly and professionally Communicate service plans, schedules, and updates to clients clearly Partner with sales and account teams to identify improvement or upsell opportunities Safety & Compliance Enforce OSHA and company safety guidelines, including proper PPE usage Deliver ongoing safety training and maintain incident reports Identify and mitigate site hazards, ensuring environmental compliance in chemical handling Reporting & Documentation Track labor hours, equipment use, and materials consumption accurately Maintain clear records of completed tasks, client requests, and site conditions Qualifications & Experience Minimum 3 years experience in landscape maintenance production or crew leadership Education and industry certifications a strong plus Proven leadership abilities managing multiple crews and diverse teams Strong plant knowledge including turf, flowers, and general horticultural practices Solid understanding of OSHA safety regulations and environmental compliance
Skills & Competencies Leadership:
Team management, problem-solving, coaching, and delegation
Technical:
Plant health diagnostics, turf management, pest control
Safety:
OSHA compliance, hazard identification, first aid/CPR preferred
Communication:
Client relations, clear documentation, professional reporting
Operational:
Scheduling, route optimization, material logistics, trouble-shooting Physical Requirements Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly Valid drivers license and reliable transportation Performance Metrics Crew productivity and efficiency Customer satisfaction and issue resolution Safety compliance and incident reduction Effective troubleshooting and operational problem-solving Experience and License Requirements Certifications and applicable education a plus (optional) Operations (optional) Supervisor/Management (optional)
