Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Maintenance Lead to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of equipment, machinery, and infrastructure by leading maintenance activities, troubleshooting complex issues, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. The Maintenance Lead will foster a safety-first environment while driving operational excellence, utilizing technical expertise across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence manufacturing efficiency and uphold high standards of industrial maintenance. Responsibilities Lead maintenance activities to ensure timely resolution of equipment issues across the facility. Troubleshoot electrical systems, including low voltage, high voltage, industrial electrician tasks, and control panels using schematics, multimeters such as ammeters and ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments. Perform mechanical repairs involving replacing wear parts in mills, welding (including welding), hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, and general machinery maintenance and replacement in kind. Interpret technical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings to diagnose faults accurately. Conduct safety inspections related to electrical systems, high voltage components, and low voltage circuits; ensure compliance with safety standards. Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize downtime while maintaining safety protocols. Ensure all tools and equipment such as scissor lifts are properly maintained and calibrated for safe operation. Provide technical guidance on customer service interactions during field service visits or technical sales support when needed. Skills Understands the company orientation material Proficient at basic math and geometry needed for common maintenance and construction calculations. Displays a full working knowledge of the milling process including start up and shut down procedures. Understands the process flows for all products Always comply with OSHA safety regulations. Understands and follows applicable HACCP, GMP, food/feed safety, quality, and safety procedures. Understands and follows applicable SOPs and work instructions. Able to safely and effectively operate a forklift. Able to safely and effectively operate large equipment, i.e., skid-steer loader, front-end loader, & telescopic handler. Displays the ability to troubleshoot mechanical failures to determine solutions. Able to safely and effectively operate lifts, including boom lifts and scissor lifts. Able to monitor gauges, dials, and other indicators to ensure machines are working properly. Proficient with all common hand tools, including measuring tools, hammers, drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, cutting tools, & saws. Proficient at MIG welding. Understands the operation and basic components of common industrial equipment: air compressors, air dryers, blowers, screw conveyors (augers), slide gates, rotary valves (airlocks), dust collectors (baghouses), industrial fans, ribbon blenders, etc. Understands the operation and basic components of air classifying mills. Capable of reading and understanding equipment manuals and construction drawings. Able to assemble, disassemble, or reassemble all machines used in the plant. Capable of troubleshooting machines and repairing them as needed. Able to install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments. Able to lubricate or apply adhesives to machines and equipment according to instructions. Able to configure, install, and adjust electrical equipment such as VFDs. Capable of constructing walls, racks, temporary buildings, or other small construction projects. Follows preventative maintenance and inspection schedule. Records all work done in the maintenance software. Effectively manages parts and tool inventory in the maintenance software.
Pay:
$23.00 - $33.00 per hour
