Maintenance Manager Wiggins, MS Join the revolution at BiOrigin Specialty Products (BSP)! Summary We are looking to hire a Maintenance Manager in our Wiggins, MS paper mill to play a significant role in enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of our organization through modernization of maintenance systems. This position will lead a maintenance team of salaried and hourly Employees and be responsible for all performance results in all aspects of the maintenance department including developing systems and standards. This role also requires a high level of knowledge and experience in ensuring that the department and all team members follow all safety regulations. This highly visible role in BSP will report directly to the Mill Manager and play a key role in building a high-performance environment.
Job Duties:
Grow and maintain production volumes to support the organization and customer needs through development of strategies that reduce DT events including but not limited (planned and predictive maintenance, Break Down Elimination, and equipment modernization). Support the core critical initiatives of: Operational Excellence Improvement, New Product Development, Procurement Savings, and Optimizing Talent Strategy. Use of leading and lagging performance metrics and asset failure history to identify asset performance issues. Development and continuous improvement of asset strategies and tactics based on reliability principles. Responsible for modernizing the maintenance systems to drive reliability and incorporate best practices. Developing a data-based decision-making culture where improvement opportunities are identified and prioritized using data. Responsible for providing basic training in Maintenance Principles and developing a skilled maintenance team to ensure limited machine downtime. Drive the successful implementation of reliability improvement initiatives. Generate and utilize leading and lagging performance charts and metrics to identify and analyze losses to priorities opportunities for improvement. Monitor and quantify reliability cost savings, increased production and/or equipment life cycles. Manage the Maintenance Budget for the site.
Essential Skillset, Education/Qualification, Certification Attainment:
5-10 years of relevant experience within paper manufacturing and setting up preventative and preventative maintenance programs. Ability to drive change and accountability in the maintenance department and provide clear direction. Strong fundamentals in application and must be able to establish programs from scratch. Mechanical or Electrical Engineer degree or equivalent work experience required. Basic Microsoft office skills, higher level expertise in utilizing Excel. Strong decision-making skills. People orientated. Problem solver and the ability to apply hands on knowledge.
