Full-Time Position Summary The Maintenance Manager is responsible for the overall upkeep, repair, and preventative maintenance of the hotel property. This role ensures that guest rooms, public areas, mechanical systems, and exterior grounds are maintained to brand standards while minimizing downtime and controlling costs. The ideal candidate is proactive, hands-on, solution-oriented, and capable of working independently. Key Responsibilities Property Maintenance & Repairs Perform routine repairs in guest rooms (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fixtures, appliances, etc.) Maintain public areas, exterior grounds, parking lot, and signage Respond promptly to maintenance requests from front desk or housekeeping Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues efficiently Preventative Maintenance Develop and follow a preventative maintenance schedule Inspect rooms and equipment regularly to prevent major issues Maintain HVAC systems, water heaters, plumbing systems, and electrical panels Ensure life-safety systems are operational (fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lighting) Vendor & Project Oversight Coordinate with outside contractors when specialized work is required Obtain quotes and manage repair projects within budget Oversee renovations or capital improvement projects as assigned Inventory & Cost Control Maintain maintenance supply inventory Track expenses and control department costs Ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained Compliance & Safety Ensure property complies with local, state, and brand standards Maintain safety logs and documentation Address potential hazards immediately Qualifications Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems Ability to diagnose and solve problems independently Basic computer skills for logging work orders Valid driver's license preferredSimilar jobs in Kalispell, MT
